Mass Removals

Not all masses are the same and that’s why a thoughtful, individualized approach matters. At our surgical center, every mass removal begins with a thorough consultation to evaluate your pet and discuss the best plan for their care. We include a biopsy with each procedure, allowing us to identify exactly what the mass is and guide any next steps if needed.

Whether a lump is small and straightforward or more complex, our experienced team focuses on safe removal, comfort, and clear answers so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

Spay/Neuter

Spay and neuter procedures are more than routine - they’re an important part of your pet’s long-term health and well-being. Every procedure at our surgical center begins with a thorough consultation to ensure your pet is a good candidate for surgery and to tailor care to their individual needs.

We use modern anesthesia protocols, advanced monitoring, and attentive pain management to keep your pet safe and comfortable throughout the process. Beyond preventing unwanted litters, spaying and neutering can reduce the risk of certain cancers and other health issues.

Our experienced team is here to provide a smooth, safe experience—and to support you with clear guidance before, during, and after your pet’s procedure.

Brachycephalic (Upper Airway) Surgery

Brachycephalic (Upper Airway) surgery is designed to help dogs with short-nosed features breathe more comfortably and live more active lives. Conditions grouped under Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome can cause narrowed nostrils, an elongated soft palate, and other airway restrictions—but not every dog is affected in the same way. That’s why each case begins with a thorough consultation to evaluate your pet’s specific anatomy and symptoms. These procedures are carefully tailored to improve airflow and reduce the work of breathing. Many dogs experience a meaningful improvement in their breathing—often gaining a more normal, quieter, and more comfortable airway function after surgery.

Our goal is simple: better breathing, improved quality of life, and clear guidance for you throughout the process.

Our Relationship with ACVS-Board Specialists

We do not represent ourselves as having ACVS-boarded specialists permanently on staff at RRVSS. We do, however, maintain professional relationships with ACVS-boarded surgeons who may travel in to RRVSS to perform specific procedures when appropriate or when requested by a client. If an ACVS-boarded surgeon is not available and a client would like to consult with one, we can and are happy to help guide clients toward ACVS-boarded surgeons and specialty hospitals in our area. We are proud to offer exceptional surgical care as an independent, veterinarian-owned and led hospital.
