Pete's Story
This incredible kitty was found badly injured on the side of the road — missing both front feet. Rescued by the Kirkland Foundation, Pete’s story could have ended there… but it didn’t.
Thanks to a custom external fixation based prosthesis surgical technique developed in Italy by Dr. Massimo Petazzoni, and 3D-printed carbon fiber prosthetics, Dr. Fetherston took on the challenge and donated his time to give Pete a second chance.
No Feet to New Feet Pete!
“No Feet Pete” officially became New Feet Pete the day his first set of new legs went on… and now? Partnering with Bio3DVet and InVictos to design and manufacture a new pair of carbon kicks - he’s climbing, playing, and keeping up with the best of them.
Huge thanks to the rescue heroes, veterinary teams, the engineers, and Pete’s forever family who love him endlessly. It’s a true privilege to play a role in the care of Pete — and other deserving animals who inspire us every day.
